What We Do

Co Wexford Age Equality Network is an umbrella organisation that brings together individual older people, groups of older people, or groups who have a focus on older people. Our main aim is to contribute to an age-friendly Co. Wexford by collaborative working, sharing information and wisdom and through supporting older people to articulate their needs.

By older, we are generally referring to those over 55, however we do not consider anyone interested in ageing matters too young to be involved with us.

Our main activities include:

Get Vocal
Get Vocal – The main project that the Network is currently involved in. Get Vocal enables older people to speak out for themselves on the issues that affect them. This programme is delivered in partnership with Wexford Local Development and Age & Opportunity. Read more about how Get Vocal works around Co. Wexford...
Life Long Learning
Developing the skills, knowledge and confidence of older people throughout Co. Wexford. We deliver a range of training specifically for older people, in local community settings, promoting a holistic, healthy, confident, positive and independent ageing experience. Read more about training opportunities...
Starting an Older People's Local Community Group
Some local areas have a vibrant ageing sector while others may need some support. Network members can assist you to start or re-develop a group in your area. Read more about the supports available...
We organise opportunities for our members to meet up, share experiences, to plan and learn from each other....
