Make Home Work

16 May 12

During the month of May, members of Co Wexford Age Equality Network are visiting all seven local Oireachtas members to highlight the Make Home Work campaign, as part of the national campaign which Older & Bolder are organising.

Delegations from the four districts have so far enjoyed meeting Minister Paul Kehoe and John Browne, TD, with appointments made to visit other elected representatives over the coming weeks.

Our message is a positive one - that our own home is the best place for all of us to grow older in. So far we have had no disagreements but we are asking for the efficient implementation of a policy that consecutive Irish governments have talked about for the last twenty-five years.

Give us a ring on 053 91 55864 if you would like to take action locally. Alternatively contact Older & Bolder directly on  01 873 3623 for campaign materials, advice or to adopt their Make Home Work Charter. County Wexford has been to the forefront in campaigning for older people's voices to be heard and included and we always welcome more strength to our numbers.
