Each of the four workshops will start with a short exercise session to beat the afternoon slump led by PALs (Physical Activity Leader)

Workshop 1: Men Don’t Talk Face To Face; They Talk Shoulder To Shoulder
This workshop will explore how we can support older men to become more active in our local communities to improve/maintain their health and well-being. Whether you are involved in a men’s group, men’s shed or interested in starting one - your contribution to this group will be welcome. Women are, of course, allowed to attend!

Workshop 2: What Kind Of Old Do You Want To Be?
Celebrating Creativity As We Age
Creative activity gives us the chance to unlock hidden talents, can be a source of joy, fulfilment and involvement. Be it through song, drama, art, dance, film, poetry, music, craft, photography – the list is endless. This workshop will celebrate creativity, inspire us and look at how we in Wexford can bring different generations together through vision and creativity

Workshop 3: Caring In Our Communities
By popular demand - An information sharing workshop to look at how local community day care centres, meals on wheels and day centres can link up effectively at local level to support older people to age well at home and continue to play a vibrant part in their communities. We will look at practical ways that local groups can collaborate for mutual benefit and improvement of activities/services.

Workshop 4: Getting Vocal
Co Wexford Age Equality Network works towards making the voice of older people in Co. Wexford heard. This workshop will be facilitated by an On TRACk (Turning Retirement Into Active Citizenship) facilitator and by our Media Working Group. It will feature practical exercises such as writing a letter to a newspaper editor, taking lobbying action and working for change. A great way to get involved in action to improve the future for all generations!
